Medication Tracking and Coordination with Physicians
When a physician refers a patient to ADDVANTAGE for assessment and/or treatment, he or she can expect a thorough evaluation with clear and timely communication about findings and progress. Behavioral, emotional and/or interpersonal comorbid features will be assessed and addressed, if needed.
With permission, we will alert primary care physicians and involved specialists to their patients’ status when they become involved in our services.
When an individual with ADHD is treated with medication, ADDVANTAGE can assist the physician to determine and track the effectiveness of a medication and dosage by using laboratory measures, such as the Continuous Performance Test, QEEG and behavior checklists.
ADDVANTAGE also provides a full array of non-medical services that can be offered before medication is tried or in conjunction with medication.
There are some physical conditions that can produce symptoms that resemble those found in ADD/ADHD. We encourage clients to have their physicians rule out these conditions:
